A professional drone with a quick-attach payload system, the Teledyne FLIR SIRAS is affordable and easy to use. It comes with the Vue TV128 dual camera, a gimbaled payload that carries both a high-resolution radiometric FLIR Boson thermal camera as well as a high-resolution visible camera payload. SIRAS is designed for industrial inspections, law enforcement, firefighting, mapping, and search and rescue.
Chatsworth, CA. and Las Vegas, NV. – Sept. 6, 2022 ― Leading drone distributor Enterprise UAS has earned the distinction of exclusive master distributor with thermal imaging powerhouse Teledyne FLIR and its SIRAS™ drone, a new enterprise grade drone that includes the Vue® TV128 radiometric thermal and visible camera payload system. SIRAS is a midsize, foldable professional-grade drone intended for industrial and utility inspection, public safety, firefighting, and search and rescue missions.
As the exclusive master distributor of SIRAS, Enterprise UAS is responsible for all sales, training, and support of the drone throughout the United States. In addition, Enterprise UAS provided Teledyne FLIR aircraft performance requirements and flight-testing feedback during the development of SIRAS. Enterprise UAS will provide primary and ongoing product support services, including first-line product repair, maintenance and technical advice.
Enterprise UAS Executive Vice President Randall Warnas stated, “Teledyne FLIR has stepped up to the plate with SIRAS to fill in the gap for a high-quality thermal imaging drone at a competitive price of $9,695. Having been on the front lines of the growth of aerial thermal imaging, I’m excited to see new products from a brand as well-known and respected as Teledyne FLIR, who has the track record, longevity, and resources to back up the introduction of a new drone into the market. As indicated by the overwhelming response to early testing of SIRAS, end users certainly have something to be excited about.”
SIRAS comes with a quick-connect gimbal mount that ensures further versatility with future payload combinations. The included Vue TV128 payload enables one to obtain high-quality imagery with post-flight processing completed in FLIR Thermal Studio and other leading third-party photogrammetry software. Using the 16MP visible camera, one can zoom in 128x to pinpoint exact details.
The 640×512 pixel, radiometric, integrated Boson camera offers best-in-class thermal imagery, has a 5x digital zoom, and captures the temperature of every pixel within the scene to be measured on a continuous basis. SIRAS is also the only enterprise drone to feature Teledyne FLIR’s patented MSX® technology, which provides critical data by overlaying thermal images in real time with edge details from the visible camera.
SIRAS is designed for speed and efficiency. A fast startup time of just one minute combined with hot-swappable batteries ensures fast deployment and efficient operations in even the harshest conditions. This IP-54 rated aircraft can withstand the elements while also offering a 31-minute max flight time as well as front radar-based collision avoidance, allowing professional UAV pilots to fly safely wherever and whenever the mission requires.
It’s clear SIRAS is putting data security front and center. Rather than allowing a cloud-based connection to store data, SIRAS stores imagery directly onto an onboard SD card. To enhance cyber security, Siras does not require the user to create an online profile, to begin its mission. It has no cellular transmission, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth functionality (except to comply with remote ID).
With best-in-class imagery, secure data, and seamless integration with the leading photogrammetry software, SIRAS provides the productivity and efficiency necessary for professionals to ensure a successful mission.
“We are thrilled to serve as the exclusive master distributor with Teledyne FLIR on this cutting-edge product,” says Enterprise UAS CEO Mike Zaya. “The SIRAS drone is a direct response to market demand. Our customers have long been asking us for a high quality, turnkey solution that takes into consideration the latest technological requirements for the mission along with an airframe that complies with local, state and federal government requirements. Teledyne FLIR has long been the leader in thermal imaging sensors for UAVs, so it’s a natural progression to enter with its own high-quality, mission-specific system.”
Continuing, Zaya observed, “Through the relationship with Teledyne FLIR over the years, Enterprise UAS has consistently demonstrated a keen understanding of the important relationship between a customer and their supplier. To that end, EUAS will be managing all channel sales of SIRAS in the United States. We’re excited to partner with the top value-added resellers in the country to help get this important product into the hands of end users.”
SIRAS is scheduled to begin shipping to United States-based customers in the fourth quarter of 2022. Further information can be found at https://www.dslrpros.com/teledyne-flir-siras.html.
